[etherlab-dev] EtherCAT Installation under RTAI

Hello,

i want to use a Realtek RTL8139A Ethernet-Card as EtherCAT Master under
RTAI.

I found the documentation about EtherCAT Master @
http://www.etherlab.org/download/ethercat/ethercat-1.5-6129a5f715fb.pdf.
I cannot see any RTAI-specific instructions in the Installation Chapter.
Thats why i have a few questions:

1. Can i use the 2.6.31 linux-kernel like described @
http://www.etherlab.org/de/ethercat/hardware.php  ?
2. Can i use any RTAI patch which corresponds to the 2.6.31 Kernel?
3. Is there anything to consider while configurating/compiling the
linux-kernel and rtai regarding etherCAT? Or can i just patch my Linux
with RTAI and do the installation of the EtherCAT Master afterwards like
described in the Installation Chapter of the manual?
