Hi Florian,

I figured out that the 8139too driver is still running when I try to
load the ec_8139too driver. the 8139too driver is not listed in
"lsmod" and cannot be removed by "rmmod" as is done in your script,
because it is built into the kernel.

I removed it (/made it "Modular") with make menuconfig, and built a new kernel.
Now the ec_8139too can be loaded, found my slaves .., and I am happy. Thank you!
