[etherlab-users] get_cycles() and cpu_khz

Hi everyone,

I'm currently developing on the EtherCAT master release 1.4.

I got some feedback from some serveral people, that they had problems to
compile the master because the get_cycles() and cpu_khz functionality is
only available on some Intel architectures. I did some research: It
looks as though the symbols are defined for all architectures, but if
the timestamp counter is not avaliable, the get_cycles() returns zero.

Does this match with your experiences?
