[etherlab-users] etherlab instal on RHEL 5

 Hi,

Tes, we had a lot of trouble. However the 164.15.1.el5 OS worked fine
when we installed a 8139too network pci card, and did the configure
using "with-8139too-kernel" option.

However, the 186 kernel only seems to compile using "--enable-8139too"
option.

Regards
Ian

Hello,

Could you tell more about your installation on RHEL 5 ?

I tried to compile using the kernel provided and the compilation failed.

The machine I am using it on is running kernel 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5PAE #1
SMP

I would like to use the EtherCAT master with either the generic module
or the e1000

I remember part of the module compilation failing because of a macro
"for_each_netdev" which may have been introduced in newer kernels.

Thanks,

Ronaldo
