Hi Florian,

I am the new user to ehterlab.org.

As we know, SDO is used for acyclic data exchange. Following are the queries

1.Is their any further mode for acyclic data implementation like synchronous and asynchronous? If yes please tell us what it is and how to implement in EtherCAT master.

2.How we will get timestamp of input and output data from slave?

3.How to implement timestamp in Master?

4.Is their any setting to be configured for slave from master for timestamp?

5.How do we confirm and verify that acyclic data exchange is completed in EtherCAT master development?

PDO and SDO are used for cyclic data exchange. SDO is used at 1HZ frequency for data exchange. Above 1 KHz frequency we use PDO for data exchange. Following are the queries:-

1.In cyclic exchange, is it required to implement synchronous and asynchronous mode of data exchange? Please explain what these modes are and how to implement that in EtherCAT master.

2.How we will get timestamp of input and output data from slave?

3.How to implement timestamp in Master?

4.Is their any setting to be configured for slave from master for timestamp?

5.How do we confirm/verify that cyclic data exchange is completed in EtherCAT master development?

Request to reply to our queries.

Thanks,
Gajendra More
