Hi,

I don’t understand your question well. I am guessing it may have to do with this:

The NI9144 is an Ethercat backplane with 8 slots that can hold various compactRIO modules. The ethercat scanner needs to know the configuration it will be working with and the backplane’s EPROM needs to be programmed to match to what the scanner expects. This is because the scanner interrogates the hardware at startup and refuses to work with slaves if the slave report of capabilities does not match the expected PDOs

See the description at etherlab’s website here
http://www.etherlab.org/en/ethercat/faq.php#incomplete-sii

When I used a NI9144 backplane in the past I used NI’s xml creation tool to generate an Ethercat Slave information XML and I believe Twincat to write it to its EEPROM.

HTH.

Regards,
Ronaldo
