True, the master computation time is quite low compared to the 
send/receive overhead for the packets (as Florian also reported in the 
manual).
But I am not aware of any detailed measurements out there. Thats why 
your results might be useful for others, too.

With "PC hardware" do you mean CPU/chipset or network card?
What about the graphics board? That sounds like an interesting thing ..
