Mladen,

So far I've just used TwinCAT for configuration of the FB1111. I haven't
actually used the full-blown version to test my slaves.

Forgive my ignorance, but I haven't actually hooked a uC up to the board
yet. I hadn't even thought to look at any of the Beckhoff examples to
see what application layer transactions have to occur during slave
initialization. I will take a look at that tomorrow.

For my implementation, I was just hoping to bring up the 16-bit
asynchronous local bus interface in an FPGA to expose custom logic to
the EtherCAT collection process. I have a suspicion that this may entail
a little more intelligence than just a simple write sequence to the
backside of logical dual-port RAM hosted on the FB1111.

This is certainly a learning process. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
