Hi Peter,

I think ecrt_master_send does block until the packet has been traveled 
through the driver (from the caller's perspective). However, it really 
depends on the driver what that exactly means. You can't really make 
sure that (or when) a packet passed (via DMA) to a NIC has been sent 
over the network.
Others may correct me if I am wrong.
