The interface has been designed in a way, that the EoE data are received
and sent from usual Ethernet interfaces. If your application wants to
access these data, it has to open a socket on the network interface.
There is no need to create an EoE handler in your application. EoE
handlers are created by the master for each EoE-capable slave, but this
is something the master handles internally.
