What do you mean by "it"?  I have this:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Jul 25 14:39 /etc/init.d/ethercat ->
etc/init.d/ethercat

So right now /etc/init.d/ethercat POINTS to etc/init.d/ethercat

Are you telling me that /etc/init.d/ethercat SHOULD POINT to
/etc/init.d/ethercat?  In other words, it should point to itself???
