The application serves as an I/O subsystem that exchanges data between
shared memory and Ethercat.

I/O Cycle time is 16 msec (not to be confused with the Ethercat cycle time).

And no, it's not possible to use more than one NIC.

In which way would the design of the application impact the time it takes
for the domain state to reach EC_WC_COMPLETE?
