I'm not sure about SDO data, but at least AL status query is also
periodically appended to EtherCAT frames containing process data. It's
one of the ways EtherCAT uses to keep the Ethernet frame rate
manageable. Perhaps you can use 2 domains in the same process ?
But honestly, I believe your slave should support these frames.
